I’ve been getting reports from people spotting blue buttons all around the southeastern US, but this is the first time I’ve had a photo and report from Micronesia in the Pacific Ocean. Here is what Mark wrote:

My wife and I too are beach hunters here in Guam, I enclosed a picture of a jellyfish we found on the beach today, we have never seen anything like it before, at first we thought it might be a crown of thorns baby, but when we did a google search (blue Jellyfish) it took us to your sight and we were able to identify what we found, Our surf was up today and the water was really active and while we were enjoying the water we saw one of these float by, then another, then when we thought we would catch one so we could get good picture of it to add to our collection of cool stuff we have found and seen on our Guam beaches.

Perhaps I can get folks from other beaches around the world to send in photos of blue buttons they find and we’ll create a distribution map.
