Thank you very much to everyone who sent in your heartfelt entries to my little contest.
There were thirteen entries. Nearly all were worthy of first place.
For first place I chose a poem by Jenifer Mina of Sebastian, Florida. Read the poem.

As I’ve mentioned, I’ll be taking excerpts from all of the entries and publishing them in an article or blog post. I’ll let you know via Facebook or my email list when that article is published. Naturally, I won’t publish anyone’s email address or anything like that. I will credit you by using your full name, unless you prefer that I just use your first name. Let me know if you’d prefer I not identify you with your last name.
I enjoyed doing this contest and I feel like I’ve gotten to know some of my readers better.
