Fighting Conch

Fighting Conch Turns a Flip

I found this Florida Fighting Conch on Pass-a-Grille Beach Saturday evening in about 8 inches of water. I brought it up on dry sand to photograph it. It kept flipping itself over before I could get a good focus on it. Fighting conchs are fairly common on St. Pete Beach and Pass-a-Grille. My wife got […]

Feels Like Summer on Florida Beaches

The unusually cold winter is but a memory now as the heat and humidity take over. Not as hot as July and August, but getting closer day by day. We went for an evening walk on Pass-a-Grille beach Friday evening and enjoyed the sunset. I couldn’t help but think about the big glob of oil […]

No problem finding a parking space on a weekday morning in July.

Beach Days Are Here!

We almost didn’t find a parking space at Pass-A-Grille Beach this past weekend. It was the most crowded I’ve ever seen it. Still, though, it was a very laid-back crowd. No crazy spring breakers; just a friendly family atmosphere of all ages.  This beach is long, and can hold a lot of people quite comfortably. […]

Susie’s Morning Walk on Pass-A-Grille Beach

Usually  I’m the one snapping photos at the beach, but this morning my fiance Susie decided to have a morning walk on Pass-A-Grille Beach while I slept in late (late night blogging catches up with me sometimes). Pass-A-Grille Beach hosts a Saturday morning art fair / market during the cooler season, which brings a lot […]
