The Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival reaches out to the artistic community to highlight the natural beauty of Florida and to recognize the inspiring work of talented artists who portray nature and wildlife in their work.
The Festival and the Titusville Art League present the 10th Annual Birding & Wildlife Festival Art Show & Competition with the help of a generous financial contribution from Geomar Environmental Consultants.
Location: All competition entries will be on display at Brevard Community College, Titusville Campus Community Dining Room, from January 27 -30, 2011.
Prizes: First place in each category will receive $225, with cash prizes totaling over $1,600.
Entry Requirements: There is a $15 entry fee for each entry into the art competition. All entries should be works completed within the last 24 months, and express the natural environments and ecosystems of Florida.
Judging: All participants will be judged on how well they express the natural environments and ecosystems of Florida.
For Children: There will be a Poster Competition for children. Top Prize for the winning poster is a $50 gift certificate, with a special $100 award given to the school art department of the winning poster. There is no entry fee for children’s posters. Size of entry should be 1/2 of a standard poster board.

Particulars: Entries must be submitted at the Brevard Community College Community Dining Room between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Judging will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011. All artwork must be available for display through 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011. All artwork must be picked up between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011.
