Last year I spent the day in Fort Myers Beach to gather material and photos for an article. I thought I’d post a few of the beach photos:

The crowd north of Pelican Pier, Fort Myers Beach.

The beach crowd as viewed from the pier, looking north.

A photo from the end of Pelican Pier, looking east toward the beach.

Patrons at "The Beach Pierside Grill" have a great view of the pier and the beach.

Fort Myers Beach is very flat, and the water is shallow, but is not usually clear.

Ft. Myers Beach has lots of beautiful coconut palms.

The Red Coconut RV park is right on the beach.

A view from atop the Matanzas Bridge, overlooking Estero Island (Fort Myers Beach).

Looking at the north end of Ft. Myers Beach from the Matanzas Bridge. The northern portion of the island is packed with condos, hotels, and cottages.
