The Beachhouse Lodge is one of my favorite places to hang out.
This weekend I’m meeting the VISITFLORIDA video crew on Pine Island, and we’re shooting a video of the trip to Cayo Costa Island State Park and Cabbage Key via the Tropic Star passenger ferry.
I’m staying at the Beachhouse Lodge, a place I discovered back in 1993. As soon as I arrived this afternoon, I walked out onto the dock and snapped this photo. There are several units; I’m staying on the ground floor this time.
The Beachhouse lodge has a beautiful wooden dock.
One of the main features of the Beachhouse Lodge is this dock. It will take you about 300 feet out into Charlotte Harbor. Spend some time out on this dock and you will learn the meaning of relaxation. You’ll see some dolphins too.
This is a cool and very windy evening, but I was treated to a fabulous moonrise over Charlotte Harbor. Awesome!
