When I stay in a great place on the beach I always like to post a little video of it on YouTube and share it with other people who might be looking for a place to stay.
I recently had the good fortune of staying in this beautiful 4 bedroom 3 bath house right on the beach on Don Pedro Island.

If you’ve been following my blog, you know I’ve been posting about my trip to the Charlotte County barrier islands of Palm Island, Don Pedro, and Little Gasparilla. This house, called “Beach Lover” is where I stayed during my trip.
If you’re used to staying in hotels on your beach vacation, consider trying a beach house or condo next time. It’s a completely different experience. Much more relaxing. Of course, on these islands, a hotel is not an option–it’s either a house or a condo (Little Gasparilla has a few condominium type units–no high-rises).
Many of the homes on Don Pedro and Little Gasparilla are rented when the owners are not in town, to help offset property taxes, insurance and that sort of thing. The one I stayed in is managed by Islander Properties.
Of course I have to comply with FTC regulations and tell you that I stayed in the beach house as a guest of Islander Properties. But I don’t get a fee or commission or anything if you were to rent from them, and I’m not being paid to write this or make this little video.
Don Pedro is a great place to vacation and there are some great beach houses there.
