The premier issue of Beaches, Resorts & Parks is on newsstands now.
During one of my wife’s recent trips to the local bookstore (more for the coffee than the books I think), she picked up this magazine about Florida panhandle beaches and brought it home for me.
Just when I thought magazines would be losing the battle with the ipad, Will Estell, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher, comes out with this actual paper magazine.
It only covers panhandle beaches, or as the tourism folks keep trying to re-brand them, “Northwest Florida” beaches. Are most people good enough with a compass to determine which direction is northwest?
Beaches, Resorts & Parks (BRP) is full color and covers the basics well: Restaurants & fine dining, golf, various types of accommodations, pubic parks, fishing and boating, shopping, and it even manages to squeeze in an article on getting in shape for the beach.
There is something for most everyone in the pages of BRP magazine, but it’s not “Northwest Florida on $25 a day.” It’s definitely geared toward the discriminating vacationer.
And there are plenty of activities, restaurants and beachfront accommodations that will make even the most discriminating traveler very happy. This magazine is a good place to get a taste of the panhandle’s best.
