get your vodpod

Here are some of the videos I’ve created. Some are purely my own doing, and others were created with the help of the fine video crew at Miles Media, with whom I jointly produce multimedia content for the VisitFlorida.com website. One of the most popular on YouTube is the one with the jumping dolphin, where the dolphin jumps out of the water behind a surfer. Actually both surfing videos are popular on YouTube. Hey, let me know what you think!

Mote Marine Lab Scenes

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Sarasota, Florida is a great place to spend the day.  It’s great for kids and adults. If you are visiting the Sarasota / Bradenton area, Mote is a MUST SEE if you like marine life. Exploring Mote Marine Lab is one of the best ways to get to know the beautiful marine life of Florida. Rather than try to describe it further, I’ll just let the video below do it for me. (Note: I did not film this video).

Beach Safety Video

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

This is the beach safety video I “starred” in for VISITFLORIDA, the state’s tourism promotion website. They edited out all the good info about sharks, jellyfish, stingrays, etc., but it still has some good info. The law enforcement officer on Siesta Key beach had some great tips for keeping up with your kids at the beach. It was kind of funny–in the video I talk about how important it is to drink lots of water and not get overheated, but it was so hot on the beach that day, doing this shot over and repeating myself ad nauseum until it was perfect, and trudging up and down the beach–I thought I was going to get heatstroke. Being a professional beach bum is hard work!
