Chitons in the Florida Keys

Do you know what a chiton is? It’s a very primitive type of mollusk (shell making animal) that adheres tightly to the wet rocks in marine environments. I spotted this one on Sombrero Beach on Marathon Key in an area where there was a huge outcropping of limestone rock.
